Agile terminology


 

Domain: Multiple tribes working on similar types of work (e.g., customer service, transaction flows, account opening, branch and rep experiences)

Tribe: A group of squads within the same business working on related initiatives (e.g., digital planning and advice)

Squad: An autonomous team of people representing multiple disciplines working to accomplish a common goal with shared KPIs

Chapter: A group of people with similar skillsets whose members are dedicated to a squad (e.g., UXD, dev, business, marketing)

Team: A group of people with similar skillsets whose members are shared across squads and tribes (e.g., content, UXR, legal, risk & compliance)

Guild: A self-organized community of members with shared interests
